In the fall of 2012 I had a relapse of my herniated disk in my L4-L5,. The pain was so sever I could not sit on my tail bone and my lower back ached with radiating pain down both legs.
I had been suffering with back pain for many years (20 yrs and especially since I herniated the disk back in 2010. I was sent for an MRI in 2011 that confirmed the herniated disk and degenerative disk disease. Over the years of back pain I had tried acupuncture, chiropractic and physiotherapy with limited success and only temporary relief.
After seeing my doctor with this recent relapse she suggested I try this Bio Flex Laser therapy. She suggested I contact the Parkwood Massage and Laser Therapy clinic and that I review the information on the website of the Bio Flex.com, patient information, to understand how the therapy works. I was a little hesitant at first since the website information sounded too good to be true but I decided I had nothing to lose at this point accept for the pain.
I met Jeffrey Szostek, the owner and therapist of the Parkwood clinic for my first
assessment and was impressed right away by his knowledge and understanding of Laser Therapy and how my back could benefit from the treatments. He and his staff, Sarah, helped me understand how the laser worked and gave me great advice to help speed up recovery.
After many treatments my doctor sent me for a bone scan to see how I was progressing with the laser therapy. It was shocking for me to see the results that my herniated disk was gone and the narrowing of my disks had widened as a result of the therapy. But the best part for me was the constant pain was gone, my toes where no longer numb or tingling all the time and I could sit again.
I continue to go to the clinic today to treat other areas of my body that have RSI or arthritis.
I cannot speak highly enough about this treatment and the Parkwood Massage and Laser Therapy clinic.
